As we prepare for upcoming state assessments, we want to ensure a secure and fair testing environment for all students.
❌ META AI GLASSES & ANY SMART GLASSES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED
This includes any wearable technology with recording, transmitting, or internet capabilities.
📢 Parents & Students – Please Plan Ahead:
If your student uses prescription smart glasses (Meta or similar), they will NOT be permitted during testing.
✅ Students should plan to bring:
• Regular prescription glasses (non-smart)
• Or contact lenses
🚫 Also NOT allowed during testing:
• Cell phones
• Smartwatches
• AirPods/earbuds
• Fitness trackers
• Cameras or recording devices

Huge shout out to our Middle School English Teacher, Mrs. Cantu, for gamifying the STAAR review for her students! Mrs. Cantu has been preparing her students for the upcoming English STAAR exams and she played ZAP! with them to check for understanding and energize her lesson. The students enjoyed playing ZAP! and got really competitive in the review. Amazing job to Mrs. Cantu and her students!

Yesterday, Officer Ramos of the San Juan Police Department came to DAEP to share her story with our students. Officer Ramos was once a student at our campus and shared how changing her mental outlook and relationships helped her graduate high school with Honors, Magna Cum Laude in college, and Valedictorian of her Police Academy class. Our students really enjoyed interacting with Officer Ramos and it was wonderful seeing her come back and be a positive role model for our students. Thank you Officer Ramos for all you do for your communities!
